looking up

Last Friday I flew to Brisbane for my uncle's funeral. Funeral's are such a mix of emotion- grief for the loss of  a loved one, sadness for those who are closest and will feel the loss daily, and moments filled with lovely,  happy memories and a stronger sense of connection with family.
We stopped for a cup of tea on the way  back to the airport and as we looked up we saw a giant dandelion sculpture which reminded me of making wishes...wishing that those feelings of strong connections weren't prompted by funerals. It's such a strong reminder to be grateful for the people in our lives.

a morning at the beach

We've had some fierce storms in Sydney over the last few days. Cold, wet & windy. It's been nice to have a look through some of my photos from last week when the weather was completely different. I love a morning walk along the beach and it seems that a lot of other people enjoy the sand and the surf at this time of day too.

ten on ten

Ten photos over ten hours on the tenth of the month.

We've just got back from 2 weeks at the beach so this months ten on ten is just a little late. It was a grey & rainy day on the tenth.  I went for an early walk on the beach;  beautiful in any weather. This is some of what my tenth looked like....
